Assessment of the Architecture building (AUB)

The assessment of the structural capacity under gravity loads, wind loads, and earthquake loads of this existing building and the non availability of structural drawings or specifications have led to a full site investigation of the structural elements including the evaluation of the foundation and soil properties.

Roumie High development project

The main structural issue was to remodel the existing structure, to remove one part of this building, add an attic above the roof level and an adjoining lower structure, and to strengthen both the existing columns and footings.

Retrofitting of four steel bridges in Beirut

The work consisted in a report recommending a solution to retrofit the deck slab of four bridges damaged during the war to ensure their functionality and durability.

Other projects

In three other projects the solution, in order to lower the ground floor level and add upper floors, consisted to strengthen the lower columns by concrete jacketing and the footings by increasing their plan dimensions and providing a concrete overlay doweled to the existing footings by the use of epoxy anchored bars.
