Projects in France

Inside the company Constructions ED Coignet:

1. Principal in charge of the design and supervision of the following main projects:

Workshop for tankers (Babcock Atlantic) in Bretagne

This workshop constituted by a slab on grade of 240x50m plan dimensions and 1.0m thickness to support a load of 200T over a 10m2 area, is flanked by two longitudinal areas of 240x10m each where the superstructure, constituted by mega frames of 50m height at a spacing of 30m, is located. These frames support on one hand the roof steel structure, and on the other hand the two symmetrical longitudinal post tensioned beams carrying vertical and lateral loads from a mobile crane of 200T capacity..

The Faculty of Lille

The structure of this project of 125,000 m2 composed by several low rise blocks is entirely precast from the foundation to the columns to the different floor system. The floor system used for the amphitheaters (of capacity varying from 400 to 800 students) is constituted of precast slab elements and precast pre tensioned beams.

Calberson Storages Boulevard Ney Paris 18

A storage building that is 220,000m2 composed of a ground floor, six upper floors and two ramps of access for heavy trucks (30T). An industrial cast in situ RC floor system is used except for the two ramps and where the trucks have access. In this zone a solid slab supported on partially precast post tensioned beams is used.

Other Special projects

Design of a two slant legged frame post tensioned bridge, several silos and water tanks, and research development for the construction of a new generation of hyperbolic cooling tower (height of 120 m) and new precast floor elements in building constructions.

2. Participated to the design and supervision of the two following main projects:

The Congress palace in Paris

This project of 300,000 m2 is composed of several RC basements and upper floors. The main structural issue is the design of the two multipurpose theaters of 5000 and 1000 seats capacities where post tensioned elements including regular beams and curved boxes are used.

Reservoir Montigny

This cylindrical tank of 100m diameter and a capacity of 50,000m3 is composed of a thick two way post tensioned base slab supported by RC piles of 1.0m diameter, a two way post tensioned wall, and a thin pre tensioned roof slab supported by intermediate columns and freely supported on the peripheral wall.
